- I had a whole list of points under curriculum, but it got too long and I moved them to my blog. We are making good strides in the area of curriculum and I know we will continue to get even better.

- Attending the School Board Round Table Discussions is an excellent way for you to interact with the board in a less formal setting.

- I greatly respect the work done at every level, from janitorial and food service, to our secretaries, to our educational assistants, to the teachers and the administration.
- I support the implementation of a multi-faceted evaluation process to reward our outstanding teachers through the use of merit pay. The administration must be held accountable to make sure all of our teachers meet the standards our children deserve.
As a school board member, I will advocate for the fiscal responsibility that we owe the public.
- I took part in a School Finance Study Group led by Business Director, Jeff Gross. While this gave me a better understanding of school finance, I still have much to learn and am willing to put in the work to do so.
- We must ensure that we are creating educational value for every dollar spent.
- The district is positioning to move to a self-funded insurance program. Switching from the WEAC Trust Insurance was only the beginning of realizing the savings in healthcare that the district needs. Higher deductible plans for employees will need to be part of the discussion.
- The district has increased its fund balance over the last several years, allowing the district to maintain a top rating from Moody's which further translates into less short-term borrowing and better interest rates.
